mRNA and protein expression analysis
Strain specific analysis of AFP gene expression in wild-type mice and B-hAFP mice by RT-PCR. Mouse Afp mRNA was detectable in fetal liver of wild-type mice (+/+). Human AFP mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hAFP mice (H/H) but not in wild-type mice.Strain specific AFP expression analysis in homozygous B-hAFP mice by western blot. Fetal liver tissue were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hAFP mice (H/H), and analyzed by western blot with anti-hAFP antibody. Mouse AFP was detectable in wild-type mice. Human AFP was only detectable in homozygous B-hAFP mice but not in wild-type mice.
